"When it comes to contrast in minimalist web design, one good example is the portfolio website of Adham Dannaway. On this single page, we have all kinds of contrast happening simultaneously.

There is contrast between illustration and photography, abstract and concrete, color and (almost) colorless, even order and chaos. More importantly, all of this contrast has a specific purpose on the website, which is to juxtapose Dannaway's two areas of expertise: design and development. This opposition is incredibly valuable, because it delivers a strong message much more quickly than words could alone. As a result, the design requires fewer elements making it a great example of minimalism in action."
